any suggestions on an exahust?

i own a 6mt coupe and i wanna buy an exahust. i dont want it all "rice rocket" sounding. i am assuming most exahust wouldnt sound "ricey" considering our motor, but i dont want to make a costly mistake. i love the stock exahust sound, but i would like it to be louder. how about the nismo or hks?

I concur, the Fuji rocks. Definitely not ricey. Quiet at idle, deep at WOT.

The Stillen is very loud compared to the Fuji.

Fuji for mild.
Greddy for wild.

Re: any suggestions on an exahust?

I thought that Fuji was the quietest of the aftermarket exhausts.

I seem to remember a thread about someone that had a Stillen who had neighbors complaining that he would wake them up in the morning when he left for work.

Re: any suggestions on an exahust?

The Fujitsubo is most definitely quieter than the Stillen both inside and outside. However, I have wondered for a long time where it stands compare to the Borla. It wasn't until recently the question was finally answered when G35Lin aquired the Fujitsubo (droping the Borla). I have driven his car both pre- and post-Fuji. Both of us came to the same conclusion ... that is the Fuji is quieter and more importantly ... lacked virtually all the drones that existed for the Borla from inside the cabin. From the outside, notably the rear of the car, the noise level is virtually identical (neither louder than the other), with the tone quality seperately unqiue and distinctive of course. Again, I would suggest PM G35Lin for more in depth analysis. Having lived with the Borla for quite a long time before the switch, he's able to point out all the nooks and crannies that I'm not qualified to do w. relatively short exposure.

So, IMHO ... for the quietest exhaust for the sedan (short of muffler only alternatives), Fujitsubo is your best bet.

Pro-1 & RS*R exhausts will rattle your teeth out. They are THE loudest exhausts out there. I have the Pro-1 btw. That vid is of my customers car that I installed a Pro-1 exhaust on.
