Go magnaflow if youre gonna do a custom exhaust. Those have a nice tone. Thats what I would go with. Or you could get the HKS thats very popular. Both sound great imo

Check here for sound clips: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...mpilation.html

Are you looking for sound, performance or both? The problem with a custom exhaust is you don't know what you will get until its done. Then you are stuck with it unless you want to pay the muffler shop to add something in, like a resonator, or go back to stock. Exhaust companies spend alot of money developing exhaust systems for the best flow and best sound. You might get lucky and get the same results on the first try, but most likely not. Good luck, but I would buy a used Stillen or Borla before I had a muffler shop do a custom. The only way I would do a custom is if I relocated the evap canister and did a true dual with dual mufflers like Ttrank.

Very valid questions. Either way you need to research what you are wanting.
Performance wise? Stick to the companies that have done the R&D. Sound wise
? Listen to clips to get an idea. Best bet (if for sound) is to shop around and talk
To a few muffler shops to get an idea, build a repport. Make sure you express what
You are looking for. I am loving the sound of my exhaust. Spacer, z-tube, and K&N, but some like it loud.

magnaflow has mufflers that resemble the stock setup, one inlet and 2 outlets and then just take it to a good shop and get custom piping
