HKS exhaust??

I was looking on craigslist and saw this and was thinking this can't be HKS. If it is not why does this guy want so much for it? Is it made of some special metal like unobtainium. I just don't see the value in it my be it is a special exhaust someone enlighten me. Here is the post http://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts/2127726640.html

He probably bought the mufflers from HKS. STI's and EVO's use that kind of canister. So he probably had some custom piping down to bolt to those and is considering it as a HKS exhaust. Someone in so cal is selling something like that too... many months passed and it still hasn't been sold lol

Reminds me of a muffler shop here in SoVA called Big Als Mufflers I went to them for a "custom" exhaust (they pieced together straight sections) then drove my car off the lift while it was 6ft in the air. The look on the guys face when he drove it off was priceless. Then he looked at me and said, " I'm ok don't worry." I should have known not to go there 8 people stopped by to get some work done saw my car laughed then left. After everything was done and fixed the exhaust still leaked.

Looks nothing like my HKS. Then again, it is custom. OP, you'll have better luck our marketplace for a genuine HKS made for our Gs for around the same price used.

That not an HKS exhaust or even close! It doesn't even appear to be stainless and the welds/bends look like....not good! This looks like a system some guy made in his garage after ordering mufflers. I wouldn't put that on SLICK even if they paid me!! Owner didn't learn much at UA....lol

When I first saw it I thought if this is one of the choices in aftermarket exhaust for the G then I will stay stock. Upon further inspection of it I see the welds at the mufflers are rusted and will leak and probably way louder than i want or my neighbors would like

It's the HKS mufflers badly welded on some crapy pipes. The HKS muffler sounds good on the EVO's STI's and my friend had a RSX-S with that, but I dont think it would sound anything close to those with our cars. Before anyone buys this please try to find a sound clip or something. Or else its a waist of $1000 lol. The mufflers do go for $300 each.

^ Yeah, I don't think the seller is trying to imply that this is the HKS hi-power exhaust, just stating that it's an exhaust with HKS mufflers (which actually are very expensive). Given that it is a custom exhaust, his price is probably on par with what he paid to have it done, but definitely high for a used piece.

Honestly, the installed pics look pretty awesome, but I bet it's incredibly loud.
