how important is flex pipe

planning to build a custom catback exhaust as soon as all the parts get here. its going to be a true dual. so the ypipe will not be getting used. do i NEED to have flex pipes in it somewhere? like the stock ypipe does? or will it be fine without any?

I deleted my flex pipes on my Nismo Y pipe after I scrape the shizzznits out of it. Been running it about 2 years after the flex pipe delete and no problems.
I think you'll be fine as long as you have rubber hangers for the exhaust.
