mid-pipe replacement - DIY help?

To anyone who has replaced their own Sedan's midpipe with a Coupe/350Z
midpipe (or seen it done): What tools are needed? Do I need to get any gasket material / what about leaks at the mating points / jack stands OK or will I need more clearance? Any advice greatly appreciated?

Very easy DIY. Soak the nuts with PB blasterthe night before. Jackstands are fine. Just unbolt the 4 nuts, 2 on either end. 17mm socket if I remember correctly. Dont strip the nuts or you'll be sorry. Use pb blaster or wd 40 on the rubber mounts and pry them off. Use a screwdriver if necessary. The midpipe should drop right out. Careful, it's like 40 lbs. When installing the coupe pipe you will notice not much clearance between the driveshaft well cross member. Don't worry about it its not a problem. There will also be a slight interference with the heat shield in the same area. I just bent mine. After that just reverse the procedure and put it back together.
