I personally have #2 and love it. I removed the resonator under the box and plugged the hole in the box.

Any sound clips or video of the set up man?

Thanks

^Read this thoroughly.

Performance wise, keep your stock airbox and get a Z-tube and K&N drop in filter.

And get a plenum spacer
Why K&N stock paper filter gets best performance and filters a ton better.

The only thing wrong with the intake mod truth thread is that there is no dyno with a bone stock intake. A stock baseline would have been very helpful in that comparison.

Yep, essentially the same. The only difference is the OEM G-tube has baffles in it to reduce the sound of the intake. The Z-tube upgrade is to reduce the turbulence in airflow.

Ahh. I am still a lowly g35 noob but I was under the impression that the z-tube K&N combo offered measurable power gains.

About how much power does the z-tube paper filter combo make over the stock setup?

Minimal if anything, Z Tube and Paper filter is virtually stock.

So the only reason somebody would install this combo is for more of a noticeable intake sound correct?

r2c... they are redesigning the square plastic tube for an aluminum round tube. My car picked up 10whp over their original setup. Can't wait to get the round tube back, black nickel finish at that....
