bro you gotta give it a lil more than 300 miles to break em in! haha

also i am not sure for the sedans, but for the coupes if you replace the ypipe/hpipe with the magnaflow mufflers the hfcs sound a lot better, no rasp or drone (i hope in my case)

I put Berks on last weekend and I have no rasp at all. Just a deep beautiful sounds... louder than before but no rasp. I also have mrev2/spacer/z-tube/pop charger and fast intentions exhaust. I haven't hear of a rasp problem with Berks before. Was your exhaust raspy before?

berks do give you a deep sound. it depends on the aftermarket exhaust you get. i personally think exotic speed exhaust and the invidia sound good. the nismo exhaust also sounds good, i like the deeper sound.

I have / had stillen HFCs on my stillen catback and it was raspy as allgetout. Turned out to be leaks where the extensions were placed. Welding those shut helped with some of it. There was still a little performance related zip to it but it cut back on a lot of the badness.

I think guys were saying the ceramic coated HFCs eliminate rasp- also considered resonators.

your rasp levels will all depend on what exhaust you have ur HFCs too. sine you're running the Megan catback, you're pretty much screwed on sound tuning. big piping diameter w/one small bottle-style resonator and muffler.

hey guys, the OP had gotten annoyed with the rasp and posted his berk hfcs for sale, which i happened to pick up. anyway, i am running these berks with the hks replica / x02 exhaust. i also removed the y-pipe that this exhaust comes with it, and welded in an x-pipe/muffler from magnaflow. The exhaust note is a very deep sounding with no rasp! i personally love how my exhaust sounds now.

I think people can tell you have HFC's because the suck/hiss sound, not so much by the tone. I love mine with my setup. I liked it a lot before the Berks, but now the sound is more way more soothing.
