Did I Re-Oil Right?

I have a pop charger and recently just cleaned and re-oiled it and everything may be perfectly fine but just want to make sure. I've always maintained and done my own maintenance on my car and I work in a body shop so my knowledge of cars is good but I'm not sure because I'm a noob to reusable filters this is the first time i've ever actually re-oiled a reusable filter.

I did the cleaning and re-oil about 3-4 weeks ago and I've driven ~1200 miles and the blue color of the oil is already worn off and it's a gray color again. Is this normal for it to wear off that quickly or did I not go heavy enough on the oil?

Thanks guys.

I have a pop charger as well and use the JWT oil. The color doesn't last long at all from what I've experienced. A light coat to cover all of the grey will suffice. You don't want to drench it so you don't fvck up the MAF. It's fine bud.

You didn't describe the process in re-oiling at all. But it sounds fine.

I sprayed it....

I'm not that naive to the process. Just curious more about the longevity of the color within the oil.
