ARK Grip owners...Help
ARK Grip owners...Help
Here is a quick video clip of a problem I am having with my ARK grip catback. Pay specific attention to when the engine idles down after a rev. It seems to be a rattle in the x-pipe as best I can tell. This clip is only of a couple quick revs...the part that is most annoying is that whenever I keep the car in gear and coast, it does the same thing the entire time...and its loud.
I have checked every part of the exhaust for leaks and there are none...Needless to say I am pretty unhappy with it..

Anybody else have this issue? And more importantly, a remedy?

IT sounds to me like you have a pipe restin on ur frame or even a heatshield Bro..I had a simliar noise and mine was cuz the HFC I installed, one of them was restin on the heatshield and I just had to bend it out of the way and viola
..But anyways i too just recently put on the Ark Grip Exhaust and have to say...I LOVE IT
) matched up with the Kinetic HFC..its really quiet and smooth when coastin but when you get on it..it has a smooth deep roar that gets decently loud..Great sound!! Butt Dyno Approved!!

Ive checked the heatshield and every connection and nothing is touching. And to top it off, I pulled out the section with the x-pipe and "modified" it with a ball peen hammer and the noise is better...Not a good solution and didnt fix it completely but at least its quieter until ARK and I come up with a better solution.
A friend with the Gemini exhaust had that buzzing sound but it was from the resonators, he replaced the resonators with a straight pipe but when he looked inside it, the resonator looked crumpled inside, it fell apart! Invidia sent him a new y-pipe.
