Quieter Cold air intake in hot weather.

I was just curious, my intake use to whistle all the time before summer now since it's summer it doesn't whistle as much. Is this because it's hotter now and my intake sucks in all the hot air so it's quieter than if it were cold air since cold air is more denser?

It's still quieter, I think it's cause there's not a lot of cold air now.

Hot air is less dense. Cooler air is more dense so more would be getting in. I use to get the whistle in the cooler months when I had my intake and it disappeared when the warmer air moved in.

Thanks for that, I knew it had to be something about the weather.

I love it, I love the way it sounds at higher rpms. In my opinion I think Injen is one of the best intakes.

How about power wise? Any loss or gains? Also have you ever had a problem with it sucking up water?

Power wise I really couldn't say since I haven't put my car on a dyno, But I think I feel a slight gain when I'm driving faster.

Sucking up water I haven't had a problem with. Even though when it's raining hard I drive slow as hell.
