Momentum performance intake

Does anyone have it on there g. Was wondering how it is and how was installalation because I think you need to cut a opening for the piping to fit it through the front where the intake sits. Thanks guys I'm thinking of picking one up that's why

... Don't get an intake. Spend your money on a plenum spacer.

Yea I know that's what I'm buying first the plenum spacer and the mrev2. But I like the design and what momentum did for this intake.

Stock intake flows fine up to 350whp. But its your money your car. I'll warn you you might loose power from the added resistance of that extra tubing, not to mention the positive pressure (worth 1-2hp -nissan) created by the stock intake @ 60mph.

I'll let someone chime in who has the intake.

You can take off the "Power Duct" shroud for some added sound. You won't gain any Hp but you won't loose any either.

i know this is late, but here is some techincal 3rd party data taken from my350z.com-

Momentum Intake Test Degrees

“Nismo”(stock tube replaced with hard pipe)
Testing conditions - mid 90 degree day, ambient gauge reading 90*.
Initial startup, 136* air
Going down the road at 45mph after 5 mins runtime, 128* air
Idling in my driveway aprox. 3 mins, after 15 minute stop and go driving, 178* air

MP CAI
Post intake test - mid 90s, same road, same time of day, same 90* ambient gauge reading.
Initial startup, 100*
Going down the road at 45mph after 5 mins, 98*
Idling in driveway after 15 min. drive, 114*

Our intake is positioned where the coldest possible air can consumed by the engine. Yes you will need to cut the hole to fit the pipe through.

cool info but this intake prob works better for the 350z vs the G35. the G35 has a factory snorkel that draws cool air from a similar point as ur CAI. so you can draw air from a very similar point minus all the piping to heat up by running a more OEM setup.

I'm really interested in the way this CAI is designed. I wanted a injen for so long, but since discovering this. I think I have had a change of heart. I might ****** it up around xmas time or alittle after. Only worried about the G's open grill, but have looked at stillen gen 3 too it goes the same way. Is there something i can buy or some how make a shield because of our G's open grill? To prevent water from getting in etc? Is there anyone that has since got this since these last post? Thanks.
