Angry Megan Racing Long Tube Headers -->Crap

I recently purchased a set of Megan Racing Long Tube Headers. When I first received them they looked great but looking into further detail the o2 bung up stream both had 1/2 holes, whoever cut them didn't cut a big enough hole to put an o2 in. At this point I should not have even attempt to put them in but I was too stubborn and was determined to put them in. I managed to get the passenger side off and put in with in 2 hour which was simple, (recently changed out headers on 350z and g35 knew all the tricks to be able to do it) but then found out another problem the steering arm hits the farthest pipe away from the motor when turned so impossible to turn the wheel. I then call the seller and he tells me he will get into contact with megan racing and they will call me, but at this point I was still to stubborn about being determined to getting the headers in so i attempt the passenger side in and that took me maybe 3 hours only because of the last bolt furthest to the front of the motor, but then again I run into another problem the o2 bung upstream was two inches away from the transmission and there was no way to put one in. After all this my frustration has built up. I ended up taking off the Long tube headers and install back my DC headers and Kinetic HFC and I decide to wait and see what Megan Racing had to say. I told them to just email me, knowing me I probably get crazy over the phone. I get an email saying that the steering is a common thing that I should put a dent into the pipe so that I could get it to work. Then for the passenger side problem they told me to take a picture of it so they could see what I mean and then file a warranty claim. Lets just say that the megan racing long tube headers are garbage. I know many of you guys will probably say you should have done research. Well I did and their were the same amount of good vs bad so I took a chance and will never will take a chance anymore. I am now in the process of getting my money back.
BEN

Well that sounds real bad. How are the my350z guys doing it? Anyway, if you get your money back that would repair your frustration lol.

I love my longtubes but I do agree with you OP. The first thing you have to do is install all four sensors prior to putting the headers in...(mine had the correct thread size). The first one on my passenger side does clear the trans by about one inch which i fell that they need to change that location... I also went round and round with Megan about the steering knuckle hitting the first runner and they gave me the same story with the same solution. I had marked it off and thought for a few minutes about it and decided that a very "very" small dent sucks as a solution but worked out ok. Install is super easy with these LTHs but attention to detail by Megan is Crap.. Product does sound awesome and performs completely different than headers w/testpipes. my 2 cents lol

Guess not. Yep straight from the horses mouth. Put a dent in it. Seriously I heated it up with a tourch and put a tiny dent in it with a brass hammer.

You buy junk you get junk, Megan, OBX all the **** brands sell **** knock offs and dont test out a thing then they act surprised when things dont fit. Sucks to hear about your grief sometimes it is cheaper in the long run to just stick to legit parts....I learned that the hard way as well.

I didn't know megan made crappy parts, I do now. What Long Tube Headers would you recommend? FI makes one for the G37. I wish they make one for the G35 that would complete my Fast Intention NA mod.

Well I am FI so the last thing I need are long tube headers, but a quick google search turned up SG Motorsports makes a set.

I also found the OBX and Megan both copied from Xerd i shouldnt say they both copied them. The company in Taiwan that makes the knock offs that they both buy from, copied the Xerd long tube headers.
