Intake Spacer HELP!

Hello, I have an 04 g35 coupe and have magna flow exhaust and an injen CAI. I was looking into a kinetix intake manifold but then my local shop said that if i did that i would have to change other things such as an ecu flash. I am mainly looking for sound/performance. Ive seen the plenum 5/16" manifold spacer talked about alot and wondered if i would get a deeper sound with performance. Would this be a good buy, and how hard is it to install?

Yes its definitely a good buy. I have the motordyne 5/16 spacer and after installing it my g did get a deeper sounding exhaust. The spacer isnt very hard to install. I installed it myself. But its a good idea to get someone to help you out.

He said you would need to change a ecu reflash? LOL

I havent really looked into a kinetics plenum but i remember a while back they were cracking and what not. I have a 5/16 MD spacer and definitely made improvements in sound and performance. Worth the money IMO

Lol. You would benefit more from the 5/16 MD spacer than your CAI.

im saying would it make sense to install the 5/16 spacer with the aem CAI or do they both serve the same purpose?

They both improve airflow into the engine, just at diff points.
The MD spacer is def worth it.
Your best bet would be to get the 5/16 MD spacer and instead of the CAI get a z-tube with an oem revup airbox.

Return your CAI get the JWT pop and the spacer, but still don't expect amazing gains. At most 10hp.
