Getting rid of the rasp

Okay, I currently have a Greddy Evo exhaust with test pipes on my 04, it sounds really good! - I have an A/T and when it is getting up to speed, it is a nice deep growl tone. When I get on it however, it has a massive rasp - which the high note of the exhaust sounds lovely, but that rasp needs to go.

SO - I was thinking, cutting and replacing the area where the test pipes join to the Y out back and just run them both as a true dual. It currently has one resonator before the Y, so I figure go dual and use 2 resonators.

Will this relieve the rasp? Will it sound worse?
