350Z Tube Vs Stock

I installed my 350Z tube a couple days ago, and I have some questions. Has anyone noticed any proven gains from this tube, or is it mainly just for the sound? No doubt you can hear the intake a lot more when you get on it, and it sounds great...just wondering if it adds any power.

The stock intake tube actually looks pretty smooth inside. The holes for the resonators are small, and there are no obstructions.

Mine added 15whp, but mine's a Z1 Ztube so when I added a Z1 sticker it added 30whp so now I can beat GTR's.

Sweet! Maybe I'll have to pick up a 350Z badge for my grill for an extra 15hp...

U can find pages of threads on this topic.
But to cut to the chase...the z-tube doesn't add any functional HP/TQ.
It's just one more piece that adds to the efficiency/performance of an engine.
It's benefits aren't realized until it's accompanied by other performance parts.

Rev-up box + K&N + z-tube + MD 5/16 ISO Spacer = Growl
Z-HR Y-Pipe + Z Mid-Pipe = Exotic OEM sound.

Power gains? A few ponies, only from MD Spacer.

is the revup box and differnt than the non-revup? if so, is it still a direct swap?

Just added my Z tube last week, along with K&N and MD Spacer. Sounds good and feels smooth.

The revup box has a bigger velocity stack (the metal piece that conducts the air into the filter, its taller) so it should help a bit...and it is a direct swap...

Or you can even get the zbox if you want, its much easier to change filters with that one, and if you find an 06+ box you would be very lucky since those are the revup boxes with bigger velocity stacks...

There are two resonators...one on top and one that runs down.

ima cover em up n see how much different it sounds...

i dont understand how a Z tube is better, it has less air inlets on the intake than the G tube does...

I don't know where you got that from. It's basically the same tube, minus the resonators. It doesn't do anything for performance, just sound.
