HKS Replica Catback or THIS....?

My stock passenger side flexpipe is shot, so instead of just replacing the ypipe I figured I'll just replace the whole thing. I had just bought the HKS replica, then two days later I check my paypal account to find that the seller had refunded my money. I contact the seller who told me that the exhaust is not in stock and to check back in 30 days. Now, I'm a little impatient. I don't want to wait 30 days. I was planning on modifying the exhaust anyways with a Magnaflow muffler with the built in crossover and replace the tips. So the total for the exhaust, extra parts and labor would have run about $575 - $650. I got to thinking... couldn't/shouldn't I just build exactly what I want to start with? So, buying my own flex pipes, Magnaflow muffler with crossover and two additional Magnaflow mufflers, 2 tips and paying for the labor should be cheaper than buying the replica and modding it. The parts are about $285 and the quote I got on full cat back labor was $200. So for under $500 I'm now thinking its worth it.

Now, I just don't know if I want to buy 8 45 degree mandrel bends or if I should just let the shop use the crush bends. I wanted to keep 2.00" pipe until the flex pipes to maximize the torque. The only Mods I have are 5/16", Z tube and K&N. I don't plan on adding any more so I was thinking the 2.00" out of the cats would be ok, then after the flex pipes bumping it up to 2.25". If I did the 2.00" out of the cats I would want to run mandrel for those two bends. The rest I wouldn't have a problem having the crush bends. Anyways, here's my design:

Looks like a great custom exhaust job but youre not going 2.5 after the magnaflow x pipe? It would seem like it would help your top end just like testpipes do with there larger diameter and less restriction.

You don't want crush bends, man. You can't beat the price of the HKS clone exhausts on Ebay. For $280 you get something that's cheaper than the materials alone cost. I spent probably $350-400 on materials for my custom exhaust.

Get the Ebay clone exhaust and modify it.
