hey, i just bought a new throttlebody and i just want to make sure before i install it that after the install i do the idle reset and all those pedal combos?

i just dont want to get the tb on and find out that its messed up.. (on my hondas years ago the TBs were very sensitive and didnt like me changing them out..)

any response would be pretty sweet! thanks!

Pretty stright foward installation

Unbolt the Negative terminal to the battery
Take off your intake piping
Unplug the TB harness
Unbolt the 4 bolts around the TB
Inspect the gasket then reinstall

I believe the reset procedure is in the DIY section somewhere, but I always just disconnected the battery and reset everything that way. I have yet to do the actual reset procedures for anything and have had no issues.

It wasn't a swap, but when I had my 350Z, I took off the TB to clean it. Once I installed it everything ran fine. Didn't need the pedal reset, but then again, it wasn't a swap

Bringing this back...

So just to clarify, you don't need to do the whole crazy pedal reset if you plan on installing a new throttle body?? Just leave the battery disconnected for a bit?
