how you guys put hks replica exhaust??

hey guys, quick questions. how do you guys put ur x02 exhaust on G's? mine like test pipe>extender>ypipe. or is it supposed to be test pipe>ypipe>extender???? i got confused as many people do the extender after the y pipe? does it makes any difference in term of sound and performance wise?

when you say extender, are you referring to the midpipe?

no, the extender is 2 small pieces that you have to put if you install it in G's.

You'll lose torque like that.

I don't see how sound could be any different... But yes, you will lose power. May not be noticeable though.

There's really no reason to have it that way, so I'd just put the extensions after the Y-pipe.

yea i had it for a week now. first impression, since i pair it with megan test pipe with resonator, the sound WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY TOO RASPY!! its like broken car...... i dont even dare to floor it everytime i drive my car. one thing for sure, if you decided to buy the m2 exhaust, go buy the magnaflow x pipe too! part number 11386. buy it on the same time so you can change it right away!**

it eliminates the rasp and hiss sound guaranteed

** if you use megan test pipe.

if you use stock cat, i would say its fine.

i was tempting to buy the Z y pipe for my 04 coupe but i'm also checking out the M2 at the same time but since the M2 is a little inexpensive, i'm afraid it wont last for long..

I've had a cheaper version on for at least 3 years without the slightest problem, it has withstood constant scraping and is still amazing. I love this exhaust and its tone, would never trade it for an HKS. If it is something you like then go for it
