Another souped up intake manifold option

who's gonna test this puppy? look's like it has more volume than the Kinetix w/a nicer design too.

$1,000, what are they smokin? They should have done a dyno compare to a Motordyne Plenum spacer that costs less than a quarter of what they are charging....LOL.

Wasn't there a thread about this on my350z?

just port a lower plenum and collector and add your spacer.

It looks ugly like a kinetic, looks like someone knew what they were doing with the velocity stacks. I still wouldn't buy it

I'd like to see results on it for sure. I mean no, its not the prettiest intake available, but if it was another 15hp and 15tq above the mrev2 and a spacer across the board, then id get it... though I seriously doubt thats actually going to happen.

We contacted the guy about some testing, very nice guy. He sent us his personal one for testing, and since i personally own a Stock, Kinetix and Cosworth we should be able to do an interesting comparison once i get my car back together.

Z1 is your car turbo? If so do you plan to test these manifolds on a NA car also. Thanks for doing these test.

Yes, mine is a modified APS kit, it made 633rwhp 667ft-lb on pump using my Kinetix, I bought the Cosworth for some testing them when I happened upon this Manifold we contacted the guy (thanks to this thread) he was very eager for results and pulled the one off his personal car immediately to send to us.

We are going to *try* to do NA testing also with all the plenums, but that all depends how busy the dyno is.

Hum they tested it, n made a solid 10whp stock and an extra 4whp with a tune. not too bad..but not worth $1000 nor 800, i'd still stick with Motordyne.

On idependent tests it lost power over a stock manifold with a plenum spacer, and several runners cracked....similar issues to Kinetix when they first came out. So they turned back the clock 6 years and started with a design that was proven to crack and lose power......

Here is the idependent guy that tried it out and his results.

First the manifold would not work on my car. It has two major design flaws that I had to work around in order to get it to work. First the oem nissan gasket rivets made contact with the flange. That means whomever designed the flange didnt take into account the revits. If I use the oem gasket, it would torque down the revits and not the gasket. This was discovered by Ben at CIN motorsports before we even installed the manifold. The manifold came with an oem gasket. So I had to use a motordyne gasket CIN had in stock. The manifold then had cracks in the runners which caused leaks and the car would not idle. So the manifold was uninstalled. I took pictures of these cracks.

I was then left with 3 options, silicon seal it for a temp fix, have it rewelded, or send it back to builder. I called Chris Nelson and told him the manifold had cracks and will not work. I told him the three options. He said the manifold was stress tested and ran on their "race car" at track events. LIE NUMBER 1. How could it have been tested on your race car when the manifold was completed the day it shipped out? Chris told me the throttle plate had just been welded on and he shipped it out right after that. LIE NUMBER 2.......you dont have a race car.

So the manifold was sealed up temporarily just so I could get some dyno numbers. Manifold didn't make any power, anywhere in the power band, NONE. I drove the car home took manifold off and noticed even more cracks. Sent manifold out on 9/7, he got it 9/9 and today 9/12 he claims the manifold was damaged beyond repair and I am out $700. He states the cracks are from me using the OEM gasket he provided and torquing the flange down on the revits. Yes somehow I am at fault for using a gasket they provided with their own product. Here is the kicker.......I didnt use their gasket. I used a motordyne gasket that doesn't have revits!! I have pictures to prove this! He also claims manifold was damaged during shipping. I returned the manifold in the same box and packaged the same way it was delivered to CIN's shop.

End of the day, I have pictures and emails to prove everything.

gasket i used

solid red is oem manifold with spacer, dashed red is their manifold. Made no hp gains at all
