Which do you think is a better exhaust setup for me?

I don't want to spend much more on performance mods, so I have two options I want to get some input on:
1. HKS axleback only- The exhaust tips on my stock muffler are kind of rusty, so this will make it look better while keeping the sound at a reasonable level. I don't expect much (if any) performance gains from this. From what I have read, no droning from this exhaust.
2. HFCs and keep stock exhaust- Performance gains, louder exhaust. From what I have read, it could cause droning (can anyone confirm this?). Anyone know how this sounds? I can't seem to find much on YouTube with this setup.
I know that it's basically "up to me", but i'm hoping some of you will give your input and perhaps sway me in one direction. Thanks in advance!
P.S. This is for a 2006 X Sedan.

I think I want to keep (some sort of) cats on my car; Utah has emissions inspections, and I want to avoid the unburnt gas fume smell. I also don't want the car to be too loud. I'm in class so I can't listen to the video, but I imagine that setup is louder than either one of my options.
I just bought an rear axle made by Sebring Tuning... and that thing is NICE!!! There is no rasp at all. The sound is very deep and purrs. The rear axle is connected to a coupe mid pipe and z tube/pop charger.
Another route besides the HKS is the Universal Magnaflow exhaust. Sounds really nice too.

Just because it isn't on that list doesn't mean nobody has done it, though. I can't imagine that there's nobody with that setup.
So why might that be the case? Minimal to no gains from doing just the HFCs and not the catback?

No its just cheaper to get a coupe y-pipe or an HR y-pipe and pair it with the HKS axleback

Sorry for all the questions. I just came from the Subaru world where the downpipe made all the difference and the mid/y and mufflers didn't make much of a difference. I'm just trying to understand the best way to go here for about $400-ish.
I see. I guess I left something out that i'm sort of wondering about. The HFCs give power gains, and supposedly the HKS muffler does not. So are you saying that a good substitute for HFCs is to do the y-pipe and axleback instead of just the HFCs?

the axleback wont give you any gains and the HFC will give you little gains but nothing noticeable unless you get other supporting mods and get a tune
