Is it the "Y" pipe or mid section that needs the mods to fit around the transfer case on an "X". Did a Stillen end section without any probs. and want to finish the entirety ASAP. Can't understand the lack of R&D/development of a cat-back for an "X" ....There's a bunch of us out here on the "right coast" and up in the "great white" eh? drive'n "X"s. Is there corporate predjudice or "X"orcists, as we AWD's call em'? LOL...thanks

Tell me about it. I'm still waiting for a plug n play system. There's been a post about a custom exhaust.

Problem is, Stillen asked for a car to use to R&D a system and no one answered the call.

The routing of the Y-pipe requires the mid pipe to be different as well. Looking at pics it looks to me that the rear section snakes over more then the non X rear section has too.

R&D at Stillen
Yupper....you're absolutely right. When it was mentioned to me I told them that I would be more than happy to assist, but the 3,000 mi. drive would interfere with picking my daughter up from swim team practice on time......

Stillen end pipe install
Just for the sake of saying it ....I had no issues installing the Stillen end pipe w/the OEM mid pipe. Only the slightest alignment problem which was resolved by a little gentle wrangling/jiggling
