hey all I was wondering what everyone here did that experienced some rattle from when the coupe mid pipe hits that drive shaft brace on the sedan? i don't want to take it off, and its really hard to bend it. so the rattle was bothering me like crazy so i wedged a piece of rubber from a strong rubber bungie strap. now it feels solid and no rattle. for now. Is there a possibility of the piece of rubber getting too hot and either melting or causing a fire? or does that part of the exhaust not get hot enough? any input would be helpful! thanks

 

A Band-Aide remedy for sure. I have an 06' sedan with an 06' Coupe mid pipe and I have had no problems. Balling the car on the "boulevard" has produced positive comments on the sound coming from a Sedan.

I would seek a qualified Mechanic of the Exhaust Shop type to look and robustly amend your fix. Safety First fellow G-Dude!!!
