I'm not sure about the sedans, I know of 2 coupes that have that problem. I did go to a dealership to see if they could re-calibrate the car so it would be accurate, but they didn't seem very helpful on the idea. However, with the speedometer reading faster I have a less likely chance of getting pulled over for speeding which is why I haven't followed up on it recently.
yours is off by 10mph? Mine is off by 2mph after installing the 3.7FD last week. I tested with my Gtech which uses GPS it was accurate with the speedo using the 3.5FD.

Depends on the speed, the faster I go the further its off. I know that at 80mph my car says I'm doing 90. I haven't tested this with a GPS yet, just with others that were driving in the same group.

Do the transgo, they REALLY bring the auto to life. Also if you've already been tuned once it shouldn't cost much to get the tune updated, the protuner near me only charges for one hour of dyno time ($160) to update the tune as long as its his tune.

What bolt ons does anyone recommend before getting a tune, I'm planning on staying NA, intake, headers, high flow cats / test pipes, cat back exhaust, plenum spacer, anything else I'm missing? Thanks for the help guys!

I'm planning on doing the transgo this summer myself, can't wait, have heard a lot of good stuff about it and a nearby G member has it on his supercharged G sedan, gonna go for a ride soon and see what wonders it does.

Just an update guys...

Decided getting the transgo. I havent installed it yet but I have it sitting in front of me. Trying to find a good time to install it with a friend.

Re-tuning is only $160? Yeah I really honestly need to re-tune since I added ART pipes (from Berk HFC ) and a Stillen intake (from stock)...

thinking about getting a Motordyne Shockwave TDX2 exhaust and selling my Nismo CBE before I tune.

Also are those Kinetix composite plenums any better than the Motordyne 5/16th spacers?

Don't waste your money on headers unless you're going FI down the line.

That plenum you mention, was just covered in the intakes thread, tested on a NA car and on a boosted car, same day, same straps, made no power essentially.

The Nismo exhaust is a chambered system, if you go Shockwave, it's a 'straight through' system, you will need a re-tune.

I found this interesting: http://my350z.com/forum/tuning/47093...-velocity.html

And there was a thread on here somewhere where a member had decent gains from the velocity plenum on a SC'd car. Still searching for it.....

Every build is different
