there are a bunch of posts here and in my350 showing guys w/vortech's getting better numbers w/HFCs vs TPs, even ARTs, so i'm going to guess that a 3" ART would not help performance.

With turbos, the larger the pipes the better. Doesn't matter if your low or high boost.

Theoretically, yes. What I meant was he probably wouldn't see any (or hardly any) actual gains from larger piping unless pushing over 500rwhp

if the setup is that agressive, then why not just get longtubes? in the ppe header thread it showed them to gain over the art pipes and momentum headers in the rpm range where a centrifugal blower starts to shine. im going big blower at some point myself and am basing my whole combo around that. im gonna do ppe headers into my current tdx2 exhaust. should be a solid setup!

I was able to trade the ART pipes for Power Enterprise HFC's. They went in easy and no more rasp. I haven't driven it yet, but will this afternoon. If I still lost power, ands I can tell, I have a friend who wants my 3" exhaust and I'll take his 21/2" motordyne tdx exhaust as a trade up and put my test pipes back on.

So I see about the noise level. It's louder, thats for sure. Even with and HFC. I drove it on the freeway yesterday. Nice to have power back, but I miss my test pipes already. It's funny, I went from a complete 2 1/2 " dual system to an HFC w/3" exhaust. Not so sure my tunes enjoying this. Played with Osiris yesterday for my Idle which is all over the fn place again. My ProEFI is the culpret. Could also be because of the o2 sensor blowing out of my drivers side header. I turned off the o2 sensors and now plugging the header. Hope this fixes my issues. Otherwise its back to a 2 1/2 inch system with test pipes.
