Unhappy exhaust decisions!!!

so ive been searching for a cat-back exhaust for like 3 months and i cant make a decision, its frustrating. I have an 04 g35 coupe 5AT stock besides intake. my budget is to stay under $1000. The choices i have made are tanabe medalion, m2, or TopSpeed pro1. which of theses keeps the low end growl with out tin can or rasy sound??

any other suggestions?

Of those, the Medalion. The m2 has serious fitment isses, especially with the endpipes/tips. The TopSpeed has enough drone to drive you crazy. The Tanabe is just the best overall quality of the three, easy.

Don't get the M2. I just installed test pipes on my stock exhaust and they sound pretty good.

^ true that. at first i installed my megan reson test pipe + m2 cat back exhaust. and at the end, i just bought myself an art pipe and haven't decided which catback i will get one. save more and get a better exhaust rather than trying to save ur money and get cheapest exhaust possible. the weld on my megan test pipe resonator already loosed and rattled. and my m2 muffler on the axleback broked down the first 100 miles i drove around and decided to just did the straight pipe.

source: my own experience!!

Under $1000? There is a Motordyne exhaust for sale on the my350z forums for under $1k. All you need is the extension and your GTG. http://my350z.com/forum/exhaust/5534...1-exhaust.html

Keep an eye out in the used marketplace. Lots of good exhaust systems used. You can find a used Nismo for well under $1k.

From what I read ppl try all different types of exhaust/ test pipes and most the time they sell their set up and go to one brand MOTORDYNE. If I was you I would save up a lil more and go with a motordyne exhaust.

I like my stillen and got it gently used for 600. Not a bad choice...but the motordyne is great too. I think you should try to find a used one on the marketplace

Keep it as is. Straight pipe mean less restriction and better flow. Its not obnoxiously loud but it is pretty loud. But once again its MD so its a pleasant loud

Nothing to decide
Either go FI or MD
Anyone who knows anything about exhausts in your situation will say the same thing
Good luck !
