it does mount up to the factory flage. however, it's too short. nissan makes an oem extension that allows for use of 350Z y-pipe back exhuasts. btw, fujitsubo, whether 350Z or G35 coupe is not a cat back. it's y-pipe back. hope this helps.

Performance Nissan also sells them.

But, even with the extension, the tips of the exhaust may come up an inch or two shorter than the Fuji exhaust that is actually designed for the G35.

With the 6 inch extension that mynismo.com is selling, will it work with a APEXi N1 350z Y-pipe back exhaust on a g35? I notice it say "for nismo exhaust", so I'm not so sure. Will the tip be a inch or 2 shorter with the APEXi N1?

I can't say for sure, but I would think that it would work exactly the same way for any exhaust made for a 350Z. You may have to worry about the pipe diameters not matching up exactly, but the flanges should be standard.

when you use the 350z nismo exhaust on the g35, when using the extension, the tips don't stick out far enough. they are about 1-2 inches under the bumper. the same may be with the fujitsubo.

I just installed the 350z apexi N1 today with the extension pipe. The piping fits perfect, but the tip is like 2 inch short. It sounded really aggressive with a deep tone, It really nice. I felt alot of power difference on 1st and 2nd gear. Since the hooks are on the 2 separate canister, will there be a way for me to extend the tip without cutting the hooks?
