Loud WOT
Loud WOT
Hey guys, tried searching but didn't find an answer. Help/reassurance is appreciated. (Haha)
So today I had my mrev2, iso thermal 5/16 spacer, Z-tube and stillen high flow intake installed on my 06 6mt today. I had Borla exhaust and headers installed last year.
As soon as I left the garage I could totally feel the power. But, once I hit around 5,000 rpm the intake is honestly louder then the exhaust. Im familiar with intakes and have never heard one THAT loud before. Just wondering if this is normal.
Also, no lights are on and its not always loud only when its WOT. I haven't double checked torque on the plenum.
I have OEM cats right now. Wondering since this is the biggest restriction on the exhaust system this could have something to do with it, if that makes sense?
Bought Berk test pipes just to try them for a month going to install them next chance I can get since the car will go away before november. I realize they are pretty raspy, and HFC would be better but I plan on ordering ART pipes and the TDX2 for spring (after I put the oem cats on and get an E-test).
Any help is appreciated.
