Motordyne XYZ bolton confusion

Ello Ladies and Gents, and even the trolls of G35.

So I've driven my family sick with exhaust clips both on Youtube and here on the forums, and I've finally settled on the Motordyne ShockWave))) TDX2 + ART pipes (aswell as the rolled exhaust tips). But I've seen alot of people recommend the XYZ pipes aswell. Now I have an '04 Auto stock so Im new to the whole modding scene.
Now I know Motordyne sells their XYZ pipes with 3 attachments; Straight, Resonator, and with the HFC.

I've heard that the straight pipes add noise and makes it louder, which I dont necessarily need. Then I dont think I would need the resonator add on due to the fact im getting the ART pipes aswell. So that leaves the HFC, which I've heard reduces the rasp and drone as well as reducing any smells (which I dont know if true or not, or if noticable).

But I was just going to ask if anyone can help steer me in the right direction with what to get. I do plan on getting a K&N drop in + Z-tube (which idk where from yet). Then I do have the Motordyne 5/16" Basic Plenum spacer on wishlist.

But any help will be appreciative, and if you have a similar setup then please leave any opinions/reviews below.
Thanks like always.

I have the MD TDX V2 shockwave exhaust with the ART pipes and everything else you are referring to add on the car with (5/16th spacer, ztube, JWT intake filter and stillen cover)

I dont think you really need to get the all of that XYZ piping. The exhaust alone will be fine paired with the ART pipes. Some people just go the extra mile to get the XYZ because they want to put the HFC module in to reduce the SMELL and try to pass emissions depending on the states their in.

The TDX V2 shockwave shouldnt have any rasp whats so ever or drone, but since you are an automatic, you will experience some drone but NO RASP. So getting the HFC for "Rasp" isnt going to be worth it. The main thing you would need it for is prob reduce smell and maybe a slight bit of sound.

If I were you, Id get the exhaust and the arts itself and pair it up and see how you like it. I did that and LOVED my set up. You can always add the xyz stuff later.

ChunkyMonkey,

The Shockwave))) TDX2 is a complete catback exhaust system that comes with the XYZ pipe. It has everything you need for a complete installation.

If you have any questions feel free to give us a call (661) 298-7555

Since it does come with the XYZ pipe. My question is, how does the HFC, straight, or resonator module fit of it??

BC after the Y, there is the resonator that splits into the dual.

That module doesn't go into this system.
