Its all pointless... only reason to do a intake mod on newer cars is for a cool noise. No performance gains...

I'm not so sure about that have you ever looked at the stock intake? Both air holes are butted right up against the hood when it's closed that has to restrict air flow. Also I'm fairly sure it has been dyno'd and proven that the z tube adds a little power over the g tube so that would make your statement false.

Was that supposed to prove something? Number one he didn't even test a g tube compared to a z tube so how is that relevant in any way to this conversation? Other than everyone on this forum thinks they know everything about everything? Honestly the only opinion I wanted here was Sean's because he's installed many z boxes and he should know if they added a little power or not. I realize there won't be much gain but considering I already have both why would I purposely put on the worse of the 2? Anyone else that ACTUALLY knows what they are talking about feel free to post up here or pm me I'd love to hear your experiences on the subject

Obviously freeing up any kind of restriction in airflow will yield some gains...
