Best exhaust for my G35

I'm getting a g35 in 3 or 4 months. I want to know what is the best exhaust set-up i should be installing not only to get get the best sound quality, but also to more horse power. Any advice? I already looked on youtube for best sound quality and this what i came up with:

Hks + Berk highflow cats
Berk highflow cats + topspeed exhaust
Borla exhaust
ARK grip exhaust
Motordyne Shockwave TDX v2 w ART pipes

Any advice would be great, i got alot more questions coming once i get the car, i'm just gonna start with the whole exhaust set-up. Thanks in advance!!!

Definitely the Motordyne TDX2. It was designed for horsepower first and sound second. It's just an added perk that it's the best sounding exhaust for our car(IMO). I have one on mine w/ stock cats, and I couldn't imagine any other exhaust on my car. ART pipes are coming soon.

BTW, it is very hard to get a feel for the exhaust off of a video since the note is so deep and full of bass. Also, IMO it sounds much different when moving vs. being revved at a stand-still.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Don't know who that is but he's a dumbazz, doing that in a busy parking lot is simply a bad decision. Someone needs to grow up, and his exhaust sounds like crap. Tarek I'd seriously recommend listening to some different exhausts in person, Top Speed sounds like butt in person and doesn't provide any HP gains. Stick with a more reputable dealer like Motordyne, the Shockwave TDX2 is a little pricey but well worth the $$.

I've done a lot of research too but without hearing them in person its hard to decide. I have the TDX2 on order right now, just waiting for Motordyne to finish a new production set so they can send it out. Will let you know how I like it when they get here

Im currently running stock exhaust. The only mods I've heard in person are stock exhaust with 3" piping and stock exhaust with berk hfc. Both keep the stock sound just a little deeper an louder.

The biggest issue with the stock exhaust is the OEM cats. They're very restrictive. Upgrading them (with ART pipes ideally, HFCs or Test Pipes otherwise) will be the most beneficial. Beyond that it's just about build quality and tone, with MD and HKS being the exceptions and actually improving power.

BUT and this is a big ole but... Exhausts don't help our cars the way they do many others. Don't expect to slap one on and instantly get 40hp. No single mod (short of Turbo, Supercharger, or LS2 swap) by itself makes an enormous difference in power. It takes several working together and tuned correctly and get noticeable gains. The butt dyno will always say it's worth it but real provable numbers are harder to come by.

Note: Lots of **** gives maybe 1-10hp, the above is speaking about real power increases and is particularly aimed at a new buyer that hasn't seen first hand how hard it is to make NA power on a VQ35.

I ordered the Topspeed Pro1 exhaust (mentioned Earlier) and it had fitment issues and had alot of raspyness also had major drone at 2.5k and under. So I decided to upgrade to the HKS and it was definitely worth it... couldn't be happier and its the best looking exhaust IMO. But you cant go wrong with Motordyne or HKS. Best advice is to buy a quality exhaust the first time around.
