Yeah because the z tube has a ton of technology in it you genius's why did I ever doubt you. I'm glad you have to buy everything while i can fabricate my own stuff in my garage with the tools to actually do it. The only my garage is missing is an oven for powder coating so stop hating because I can make my own mods

Who ever even said z tube makes gains? If you listen to anybody who knows what they are actually talking about they usually cite putting on ztubes for a more smooth flow and just the peace of mind of knowing that it is a better piece than the g tube, not for any power expectations. And you can easily pick up a ztube for $30 if you watch the classifieds for a decent time, if you can't afford that you really shouldn't bother touching the car.

And it's not your tube that's the main problem, it's your fat filter in the middle of the hot engine bay that's losing you power. And I highly doubt you made a box for it that would sufficiently protect it from heat soak, your money would've been much better spent on an 06+ revup airbox. If you said you just put in the filter because you wanted look cool points than that's fine, but you're trying to claim that somehow this thing isn't losing you power and would actually make gains lol

Good thing there is no glue right now let me go jerk off since that's what I do best and you can continue to hate since your so good at it.

Not anywhere in the post did I say there was a gain. I said I feel a difference in the car and the reason for the intake is to help with the spacer that is going in that's where the gain would come in. Again in Texas there us no much I can do about heat but every little bit helps I didn't want to cover the filter when I took the pic but I was wondering if there was a reason for all the g drivers to buy these intakes since I am new to the g but it's not my first car I have had several cars and bikes where is did my own fab on that have turned out great. It's just funny that everyone hates in a question on my own diy. Maybe it does make power maybe it doesn't but I definitly didnt rig anything up. I just fab everything myself and it was fairly simple and cheap and wondered if there was something I was missing obviously I was all the idiot comments from *******s. But continue I enjoy laughing at you guys and when my custom turbo kit us done I will post it up too to here some more jokes and then I will tune it and post results so I can laugh back. But continue I applaud the effort of stupidity

That may be laughable as well, but I would have to see the build thread. I hope you don't plan on keeping that as cheap as possible too.

No, the turbo is going to be made with plastic, a piece of bubblegum, and a shoelace.... I can't wait to see his bull **** part out thread when he makes his "turbo". Maybe people can pay in Monopoly money for the parts.

Op, good for you. I guess i dont really know why everybody is trashing you. They're right about gains and airflow and ambient air temps and so forth but at the end of the day, its your car and do what you want with it. You made your own intake that, in actuality, is no more efficient than a the stock intake and no more inefficient than a brand name "cai". Youre not the only on the site with an intake but youre getting more grief than any of them. Dont sweat it. You did fine.

lotta hate... lotta nothing for just simple question and answer....
so it is like they said in the Air Force Vehicle Maintenance Center (I worked in)
price of part - $2.00
price of knowing how and where to install it $200.00
some people like to make thier own things, some people like them already made for them, it's all about personal preference, nothing to get panties in a wad over, I thought I was reading the Kindergarten Section of the forumn for a minute....

Yeah your right I got what I needed along time ago from The Sizzle with his research if I really wanted to end it I could just post up pics of my fully fabricated Sr that I did and it would shut them all up or my 2002 saleen that I did or my R1 turbo that I did. I always wanted a g and now I'm doing that one too.

Go ahead and share your work, you aren't going to win any big dick contests talking about how you have your own fully stocked garage blah blah blah when you piece together an intake that tons of civics run and then talk about gains. Post some dynos of it making more power than other setups (even if it is still worse than stock), or something innovative regarding the design of the intake, and you might get more of the respect you're looking for.

Honestly nobody cares if you are just putting together a few tubes and a filter than you can get at any mass auto store just to save a few bucks, especially with the new wave of honda modders turned g35 modders with their plastidip everything and lack of will to pay anything more than $50 bucks for any type of mod already zergging this forum.
