I built my intake and it only cost me around thirty dollars and im sure i get the same amount of power out of it that you would out of a Z tube or a pop charger.

By getting the same amount of power out of it, I assume you mean losing the same amount of power vs the better stock setup?

True they can but that makes them as stupid as your comment. the point of it is there a difference in purchasing the z tube over creating one that actually fits for 30 dollars im sure you could spend the money elsewhere on the car.

i dont know i heard that the G35s where more restrictive than the 350s and the real reason i did it is that im getting ready for the plenum spacer and cam. didnt want to spend alot while also preparing for a turbo. would be wasting money to spend money on something that i can creat for 30 dollars.

If you spend the time to do some actual reading on this forum in the intake section.... You'll find out that all aftermarket intakes will not give you any kind of gains whatsoever.

To answer your question. People usually buy the more expensive intake for either sound or bling. Which goes back to my first answer..

Well all sounds nice but most of my research says different especially with the spacer added guess we will just have to see and by the way I live in Texas it's always hot air and second I built a heat shield just not in photo

Well. I'm not sure what research you're doing but add this one to your homework stack. We also did this in Texas so the results are spot on for you. Hope this helps.

Yeah that is actually what I was looking for when I posted and I used the stock maf tube. Wonder if that's why I feel like there is definitely a gain but was really waiting on the spacer hfc and my osiris to get here and then I will have to go see my friend Steve havnt talked to him since I had my 7 back in 2000-2002 I actually road in his maroon 10 sec 7 once thought I was going to pee my pants.

But thanks for the info was a ton of help

If you wanted your car to be ghetto, sell your G and go buy a beater Honda. Don't forget to stop at Pepboys (for parts) and Michael's (for hot glue gun and sticks) on your way home.....

How cute he thinks his pepboy intake makes power, and that his homemade heat shield is protecting him vs heat soak lol.
