Question Tapering (3 inch to 2.5 inch) midpipe?

Hey guys,
I recently installed some stillen HFCs on my 04 coupe. The sounded great with no rasp, just a little bit of hissing when decelerating. I wanted to eliminate that so I bought a stillen y pipe. I should've realized beforehand that it was 2 - 2.5 inch pipes merging into a 3 inch (not 2.5 inch) collector. A 3 inch collector mated directly to our stock 2.5 inch midpipe sounds like caca when you step on it. Terrible rasp.
Anyway, I looked high and low for a midpipe that has a 3 inch inlet and ends with a 2.5 inch outlet for our stock muffler. Does anyone have any idea where to get something like this or does it have to be custom fabbed? I don't want to go with an aftermarket system as I love our stock sound. If I can't find a solution for this then I will probably return the y pipe and deal with a little hiss. They still sound great. Any input is much appreciated!

Do you think it would eliminate the rasp?
