My RX-7 used to shoot flames... it was because I was running a bit rich (10.5:1 AFR) and rotaries tend to shoot out flames a lot. Haha.

To shoot flames with NA car, you'd have to tune your car to run extremely rich to even have a chance... you will sacrifice fuel economy and a lot of power. You still might not shoot flames because the exhaust temperatures aren't as high as an FI car. If you were looking for a car that shoots flames, go buy a turbocharged car and tune it rich. Otherwise, you bought a wrong car. If NA car is shooting flames, that means something is wrong unless it's a racecar.

Dam this is puthetic and Im dissatisfied that the way people are acting on this forum. He stated that he didn't need a flame kit for his car but was just curious to see if his car would shoot flames running a straight exhaust and a bit rich and if he had the right setup. He might of worded it a bit weird but stop flaming a guy who just has a general question. Maybe he doesn't speak very good English, I don't know and I don't care, but as a forum we are here to help and not flame. Hey you may not agree to his concepts or ideas but that doesn't mean its a stupid question.

My apologies, I just think its funny to have flames shoot from your car, unless its a method employed to prevent car jackings...even then flames would come out from below driver side door not from the exhaust. But things like this are so impractical that they are beyond rice IMHO. But for $200 you can have a device that makes sounds like a BOV.....

I agree they make some funny items for cars like fake intercoolers, bov's, to flame thrower kits but I guess if you haven't gone force induction, you haven't seen flames or huge backfires that sound like gunshots. Oh yeah also Im sure we all went through the ricer phase right? I know I did lol I had the windshield washers on my old 240sx and I wanted underbody lights but I got straightened right by some of my friends. I guess friends dont let friends become ricers lol

Just ask Rookie84, he has a FD and Im sure his car liked to pop nice sized flames just for normal daily driving. Sometimes its neat cause I would have a sob ride my *** and I would floor it hard and shift and then a nice small flame would come out and almost hit their bumper.

lol leave the guy alone, i understand what you mean. the naturally occuring flames that you get out of a supra tt between first and second shift are really cool.

the flame kit is really funny though, my friend hooked one up to his teg so that when ever someone cut him off, he'd pass them and light it up. scared the **** out of some guy in an expedition. childish but eh? who cares lol.

The only cool flame shooters ive ever seen are on old skool hot & street rods. Those guys use manual choke cables on their car-bor-ra-tors to make them run wicked rich, then use a spark plug in the pipe and a switch, even then its only about a foot or 2 out, and you cant drive the car like that. So let me see, no choke cable, no choke at all, fuel injection... dam guess ya should just sell it like they sugested.. wow I cant spell fer nutin! laters
