Stock Airbox Clarification?

Good Evening,

I have a 06 G35 sedan auto. I know the 2006 was the updated G35 so would mine come out of the factory with the larger airbox or would it still need to be upgraded? I searched around a bit but couldn't find a direct answer, I've seen the pics but can't tell which one mine has. I have a K&N drop in filter. I also am looking into upgrading to the "Rev-up" airbox, if mine doesn't have it, along with the Z-tube.

Thanks for the assistance,

Brett

All air boxes are same 03-06, in MT's they changed in 05 to have the REVUP. Unless it is easily accessible, it's not worth an upgrade.

As for the Z-tube, it makes the intake sound really great. I just cannot say it increases horsepower as the MAF is in front of the tube and it tests the same in data logging.

I figured I was going to clean my K&N filter and do the swap all at once as in the revup airbox, put clean K&N filter back in and install the z-tube so it's not a huge deal for me. I still would like the get my hands on the revup airbox and z-tube but can only find the stillen Z-tube, is this the same thing as the OEM 03-06 z tube? I also could go to a Nissan dealership but I have a feeling they will charge an arm and a leg for the tube and airbox.

Upgrading to a revup air box is worth the upgrade and it has been proven to make additional power due to the larger velocity stack.

I just want the upgrade while keeping the OEM look, which works out perfectly since lots of people say the revup airbox, k&n drop in panel filter and z-tube is arguably the best intake setup for our g35's. I found the Stillen Z-tube for $60.66 with free shipping but I can't find the Revup airbox anywhere. Do you know where I could get one by chance? I'd post a WTB thread but I guess since my account is new I cant.

You can get the rev-up airbox from an Infiniti dealer, or one of the vendors here. I've had good luck with Grubbs. Ask for part number 16526-AC700 (expect to pay $65-$90 depending on dealership)
