How bad do the Motordyne ART Pipes smell?

I finally got my money right to purchase both but im kind of hesitant on the art pipes because people are saying they smell like ****(I drive my car 30-40 mph everyday so I dont want to smell it everyday lol)
Would the TDX2 give me any significant gains by itself?
Whats the next best option to replace my cats without the horrid smell? Some people said Fast Intentions HFC's are good but im looking for more opinions.. thanks.

They smell fine.
It wafts up for a second or two at standstills.
That's all. Everyone over exaggerates their "smell"

Every day lol. My girlfriend is either super cool or has no sense of smell because she hasn't complained once. Be the alpha male. Buy ART pipes.

Do you got the TDX2 to go along with it?

No I have the HKS with it but It sounds great paired with a MD exhaust. You can't smell it while driving Only from a stop like I said it'll waft up. It doesn't flood the cabin with noxious fumes either lol. It's a slight exhaust smell for a second or two then it goes away. I've heard a lot of guys Berk HFCs goin bad on them.

The smell is not 'bad' per se - it's just richer exhaust fumes that you can detect at startup/standing still at stoplights. Definitely noticeable.

How bad is the smell though? Is it bad enough that itll give you a headache if you're driving alot?

Everyone has their own tolerance level.

I never minded it and most guys riding in did neither; girls would comment and wrinkle nose but who cared what they thought.

See if there's someone local to test smell a set lol.

I asked around in my local group if anyone had it(g35nyc) and noone has it My body is a little bitch.. i get nauseous over little things and thats what im afraid of lol, especially with summer coming up soon and im going to be cruising with my windows down alot..

Also, does it come through your vents when you have the heater/ac on?

& its like jerseytaylor works for MD... hes REALLY convincing me right now lol, im seriously about to pull the trigger.

Where are you from btw?
I only ask cuz you asking g35nyc is making me think NYC obviously. With that in mind Jersey and I'm sure the NY inspection will fail you for no cats. Actually I think it's illegal in all 50 states Keep that in mind unless you know people....

Now that you know a little more about the smell side,
Figure out how you want your exhaust setup to possibly sound as well as performance gain wise.

There's gotta be a few guys in NJ/Philly/tri-state area that has a set on. Aint jersey in NJ?

From your description of your constitution, I would strongly suggest you hold off purchase until you can ride in an ART-equipped G and test out driving conditions. Would suck to blind buy, install, love/get used to the sound/power, and ultimately uninstall/resell bc the smell drove you nuts. Remember your tolerance/sense of smell aint mine or your girl's or anyone else's. And who knows maybe jersey had smelt paint thinner when he was a kid so his sense of smell is nonexistent nowadays

I love Tony and his MD products. Quality and no knock-off replicas. Pretty much the gold standard for vendors on Driver.
