Magnaflow X pipe Question...Please help

OK, maybe im not in the right place to post this thread but as you can see I'm new with no sense of direction.

I have a Top Speed Pro 1 Catback which was initially LOUD as hell, Got annoyed after 10 min. of driving. So I took it to a muffler shop to get resonators installed, I left Happy no more intense droning on the highway...but now im looking to make it a wee-bit quieter with less drown.
So it comes down to X resonated pipe or X regular pipe?
Ive seen these and im confused on which would be better for me.

Thank you

I think a X pipe (w/resonator) might be better. Don't quote me on that, but the resonator will calm things down.

I would check with a muffler shop first (one that actually knows what they are talking about!)

Here is where I put my Magnaflow X pipe:

Here is the stock borla. I cut out the borla mid-muffler as there was no X pipe in it and put the Magnaflow unit in it's place. Kept the bora resonators but they are AFTER the x pipe.

Jeff, did you ever, in all your experimentation, run the car with straight pipes instead of that mid-muffler? I've had that same Borla system and recently that mid-muffler/resonator started apparently coming apart inside and making a lot of annoying noise. I just wanted the noise gone and wasn't sure what I wanted to do, so I took a chance and just had straight pipes swapped for it. The good news, almost all drone is gone. Bad news, the car sounds like the stereotypical ricer. It's now louder, MUCH higher pitched, and a bit raspy.

So now I'm trying to decide which direction to go. It was my understanding that that mid-muffler/resonator or whatever had an H-pipe within it. The shop had a very slightly larger one in stock which I could see an H-pipe inside. I want the bass-y sound of the Borla back, but at the same time, I like the lessened drone. I know the drone issue was part of why you went with the Xpipe, but did it change the tone much? I'd imagine so, considering the size of the Borla unit, which probably acts like a subwoofer.
