buying used hfcs, worth it?

Is it good/worth it to buy a used pair of hfcs? The reason why I ask is because im getting an offer to buy a pair of fast intentions resonated HFCs with 18,000 miles for 350$.
I dont want to buy them if they are going to brake.

Thanks

It all depends on previous owner and how hard he pushed them. Sometimes they last a long time and sometimes they just don't..it's all a luck of the draw deal...you need to look on the inside and see if the inners are falling apart or not which is the most important part!...you don't wanna buy defective ones that clog and blow your engine! Start asking specific questions to seller and visually inspect them as much as possible

Honestly too if your going to spend that much you might as well get a lil extra cash to buy new ones for better peace if mind! Berks are really good and never gave me trouble at all..well so far!

Unless you can inspect them in person, than no. Pictures always look good but inspecting a product in hand makes all the difference.

Let me explain about Berk's HFCs and their company, after about 9 months I developed a rattle that sounded like they were broken internally. Called Berk's and they told me it was unlikely so I kept them for three more months and the noise persisted. Again called Berk's and was told they only warrantied them for a year and was told I was SOL. They wouldn't cover them even though I had notified them of the issue months before...and why I'm not a Berk's fan. I've been running Fast Intentions for over 2 years without issues, they sound great with my authentic HKS exhaust...Gary

Gary- that does suck man, but what were your symptoms with them before they malfunctioned? Other than rattling? I have an issue with my exhaust or Berks..not sure what it is yet but when I go full throttle I hear this metal type of sound/rattle for a second and goes away right away...I'm thinking maybe something loose or a lot of pressure which rattles something

I saw the pictures the guy send me about the fi rhfcs and on one of the cores from a hfc, where he took the picture inside the piping, looks like it is ripped a little bit on the top of the core. Also he told me that when he moves one of the cats, he hears something move slightly. if I knew how to post the pictures here, I would so you guys can know what im talking about. Do you guys think something is wrong that hfc that I mentioned?

YES! Stay way way clear from them!...it's not worth it at all!...especially the price of it..lol you would have to clear them out before install and you'd basically have test pipes instead but paid triple for it not to
Mentioned used! Save yourself the heartache and your cars life by not getting them
