Experiance with the folloing HFC & Test pipes?

I thinking of purchasing a set of HFC and/or Test pipes from Import Parts Pro (vendor on this site), I know the difference between HFC vs Test pipes but would like some first hand experience from the guys who are running these on their car.

the following below will be going on a VQ35HR

the obvious questions I have are power gains bang for buck (if any), sound quality (raspiness), and finally on the test pipes how much noticeable exhaust smell.

Here are the candidates......

Kinetix HFC's, Berk HFC's , AAM HFC's, Berk test Pipes, Megan Res Test pipes.

Rumor has it the Berk HFC's tend to develop a rattle after some time

Lucky for you, I just installed some MD ART pipes.
As for the smell, whenever you're at a stop at a red light, or idling for a bit without movement. Eventually you'll smell it in the cabin.

The worst is most likely the person who's stuck behind you, because they'll be the ones in direct contact with it. Just yesterday I was at a red light and someone honked at me for no reason after i took off. They tried to get my attention but they had to make a turn. I didnt recognize this person at all, so I'm almost sure it's because of the test pipes since we've been sitting there for a solid 30 seconds.

The actual smell itself isn't too bad. You'll get use to it. But of course, passengers and other drivers will never be use to it like you.

Ya see this kind of concerns me because my kids do ride in the car with me. thanks for the input.

BTW I've noticed people mentioning these ART pipes any difference compared to the above mentioned?

Your kids will hate it for sure if a grown man felt the need to honk.

ART pipes are basically beefed up test pipes. They produce more power and torque than conventional test pipes and they have it's own unique sound too. A beefier deeper note to it.

Berks HFCs do rattle (not a rumor) and the manufacture won't honor their warranty! Our Infiniti's smell terrible when running ART pipes which would also apply to all so called test pipes! Currently using Fast Intention HFCs for two years without issue and the cool sound with my modified HKS exhaust is sweet!

If I were getting HFCs I would get Fast Intentions Resonated HFCs.

I had megan resonated test pipes and they held up fine. If you get test pipes, go for resonated ones. If you can afford it, get ART pipes.
