Sometimes I rather not have the note
Sometimes I rather not have the note
Seriously, the exhaust sound that gives you feedback and satisfaction of a drepressed gas pedal is starting to get to me. Sure I can live with it. Actually, sometimes I love it. But for everyday driving, I'd rather have a muted exhaust sound.
Is there an easy way to quiet the purr I get from my 03.5 sedan?
much thanks.

*Ooooffff* That was harsh.
I did just hear a Chevy salesman complaining about how his new 'Vette wasn't all that he fantasized it would be. "You know, it rides rough, it's cramped inside and stuff like that." I had to hold back from telling him he didn't need a Corvette in the first place, he needed a Pontiac GTO. LOL
But seriously, Corinth, you might look into adding some sound supression material like I suggested. Go for full coverage in the areas that you want to hit. It helps.

I'm not sure if I'm willing to Dynamat my car. I was hoping that I could adjust the exhaust system without spending an arm and a leg.

Thanks.
a resonator basically lowers the sound of your exhaust and at the same time, restricts your exhaust flow a little(i could be wrong). I'm sure that it won't cost too much to get it done but speaking to a muffler shop would be the best way to find out.
I appreciate that you could see that I wasn't taking a slam at you, Corinth.
A box of Dynamat Extreme is likely going to cost less than having exhasut work done, but then again, the Dynamat will only reduce the sound inside the cabin. Depends what you're looking for.

Did a quick Google search for you.

You should be able to go to a muffler shop and have them weld one of these into your stock exhaust piping.
