VQ35 intake+

Hello, I was wondering what I could do besides cold air on my g35 sedan, to obtain a higher HP? Need help with what I would need to to the intake manifold and pretty much everything, I've been looking for a list of parts that someone could recommend only if they have prevously used them, ant help on making my g35 faster. I'm wanoting a Daily Driver/track car/drag car. My g35 is a 03 sedan 5 speed automatic ( don't hate........ ) I'm trying to get my car to push 500hp. If I'm in the wrong section could someone tell me which forum/subsection to use for my questions would be much appreciated. MILOundOTIS.

Welcome to the G35 Infiniti forums! Reaching your goal of 500 hp is unrealistic in your 13 year old sedan! Unless you drop major $$ which would include new custom motor and twin turbo's plus suspension upgrades to handle the gains! Intakes offer zero hp gains just a sound change! If you're driving a high mileage 13 year old sedan buy a K&N drop in filter and enjoy the ride while she lasts!

Some untrue information here. There are intakes on the market that offer gains. Larger diameter intake (3.5" and up) are the ones making power.

Decide if you want your car to be a daily driver, a track car, or a purpose built drag car first. Then figure out your budget.

Basic bolt ons is a waste for what you want to achieve 500 horsepower on a g35 sedan your looking for a full motor build and either a single turbo or twin turbo set up 15k at least

A K&N filter, eBay exhaust and a Z tube should net you about 400 to the wheels, but that extra 100hp to get you to 500 will be tough. You'll probably need a quad turbs setup with ultra custom mega tune and a chip..maybe 2 chips.

500hp is not feasible without forced induction. 350hp with bolt on - (intake, exhaust, headers, intake manifold, TB Spacer- tune) ... you'll get right around there.

You could be risky and do like a 75-100 shot of NOS. Not recommended though.

Don't forget a Nismo sticker and the wheels have to be 22's in order to reach 400 to the wheels

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

If you're talking about RWHP here I'm going to respectfully disagree, it would be almost impossible for him to see even 300 w/o building the motor depending what kind of a dyno he was on. Also you forgot to mention a plenum spacer 3" intake, 75mm throttle body and a couple of other small performance mods. My 05 sedan has a 5/16" Motordyne spacer, MD XYZ resonated mid, MD sedan VQ exhaust, R2C intake, 75mm TB and a tune and puts down 260HP on a dynamometer. When I was in Cali I dynoe'd 280 at Church's which I believe runs a Dynojet. ART pipes only gave me 6 more HP/TQ

And don't get me started on a TB spacer, that's such a hotly contested topic I never even mention it to n00bs who are asking for help increasing performance.
