My '05 DG G35C 6MT should be here in a few weeks, and I am about to make a final decision on an exhaust to compliment such a wonderful car. The only other initial mods I am thinking about are Z-Tube and Popcharger.
There are a few characteristics that I want on this exhaust:
1. True dual (better gains I think?)
2. Lighter than stock (rules out Stillen)
3. At least slightly louder than stock (very loud is fine, I'm young)
4. No drone inside the cabin
5. I don't mind paying a bit more if I can combine all of these features
After searching around the forums and reading up on all the exhausts, this is what I've gathered so far (please correct me if I'm wrong):
1. Ruled out RS*R, Pro-1, and Fujitsubo because I think with all these I would have to get a Y-pipe too.
2. Stillen has good gains, but negates them by being heavier than stock.
3. Heard RS*R and Pro-1 had a slight drone.
4. Injen LOSES low end power.
So from what I've gathered while perusing the exhaust forums is that the HKS Hi-Power exhaust seems like the best for me because it is true dual, lighter than stock, love the loudness/exhaust tone, no drone, and it doesn't lose low end power. Any owners of the HKS please chime in and anyone else please give me your opinions. Thanks in advance and I am itching the join the ranks of the G35C owners.

I would look at the Invidia G200...although the HKS looks nice...not many ppl have it to give you much feedback on it. The G200 is a cat back 'dual' system which is louder than stock and has a nice appearance w/ the tips on it. It's not too pricey and Invidia is a well known and respected manufacturer. You could also go for the Borla true dual...i know alot of members on this forum who swear by the borla and love it and say there is no drone inside....but IMO the Invidia looks nicer..

Again, I know alot of Z owners with this exhaust (G200), not many G owners to give you feedback here. But you can check out my350z.com for more feedback on different exhausts, they even have sound clips from the different brands/models.

Oh wow, that Invidia G200 exhaust looks pretty good! I'm surprised I
haven't heard of it before. The price is right too!
When shopping for an exhaust I have the exact same criteria as Phatzilla18,
except I'm even more picky. I don't like the dual grape-fruit shooter fart
can look. I've over that, I'll leave it for the ricers. Unfortunately, the HKS
uses dual fart cans. It's also extremely expensive.
I want my exhaust to have a stealthy stock look so that I don't attract
extra attention from the cops. Those fat cans do the exact opposite.
Thus, so far, the only exhaust that I've really seriously considered was
the Borla, since it retained a stock looking muffler. However, Borla is all
slip fit, not flanged. So there is potential for a lot of exhaust leaks
everywhere.
This Invidia G200 exhaust looks similar to the Borla, except it's got flanges.
I really dig it. If someone has a sound file of this exhaust, please post
it up!
Oh, as for whether the Invidia is really made in Japan or not, it was my
understanding that the same factory in Japan that manufactures RS*R
manufactures Invidia. Even if that's not the case, it doesn't matter,
as long as the exhaust is quality, which it looks in the picture.
