Maximizer Exhaust System anyone running

Anyone running the Maximizer HP Catback? Def a cheap system, its mild steel vs stainless but it super cheap and doesn't look like a melon shooter? Anyone have this on their coupe?

In life you often "get what you pay for". Cheap eBay exhausts are known for poor fitment, cheap materials leading to rust and other failures, crappy sound with lots of drone and rasp and a number of other complaints. They're cheap for a reason. If you can't afford a new quality system search for used sets that fit the bill. Here's a great example: https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-...s-exhaust.html

Even the more expensive ones aren't always that great. The Tanabe I got looked like a quality system but there was pretty terrible drone at 2500 rpm (70 in 6th) and it was boomy sounding at part throttle acceleration. Resonated Y-pipe helped only a little so I replaced the Tanabe muffler with a Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler and when the Tanabe muffler was off, I was stunned to see how small it necked down inside. Still had the drone, although it was better. Replaced the Tanabe resonator with a Virbrant Ultra Quiet resonator and other than a touch of tip in drone at around 72-73 mph (way less than before), its finally just right. And the Tanabe resonator? Necks down to about 1.5" internally.

If I had to do it again, I'd go to a local hi-po muffler shop and have them design the exhaust around the sound I wanted.
