conflicting information on fitting a tomei expreme ti on g35 coupe
ive heard most people run a 10 inch extension to fit a tomei on their g, but ive also seen people say they use an 8 inch. ive seen threads on other sites saying an 8 inch wont work, the 8 is like 60 on top speed auto and the 10 is double on z1 motorsports. i also cannot find any pics of a tomei on a g35 saying what length extension was used so if anyone has pics that would be great. im leaning towards the 8 inch since its half the price of the 10 and some say it works, but if it wont be flush with the bumper i would obviously go with the 10 if it makes a noticable difference. ill be heading to the junkyard tomorrow to find a y pipe, hopefully an hr y pipe but if i can only find the de ill get that, id imagine this wont make a difference in fitment right? any input would be great.
I'd just buy the 8 since that's what most folks use with 350Z exhausts on a G35, worst case scenario you have to cut and sleeve the thing to make it a different length, no big deal.

OP why do you need a new/different y-pipe? As long as you stick with OEM the y-pipes are all the same length. And yes, it's the 8 inch you need. Not sure where you read it was 10, in 9 years of owning my G I've never seen that mentioned on any G or 350Z forum.
