those of you who have gotten a muffle delete on a g35 would you recommend me to do that for now while I save up for a full exhaust system?

Don't do it unless you want the wrong kind of attention, it's stupid loud and sounds like crap.

OP please post new threads in the appropriate place and read the forum headers for guidance. Where you started this one specifically said in the header "NO Car Questions" in big red letters. That being said I agree with the above, it's a cheap mod and sounds like one.

There's a few vehicles that sound decent with a muffler delete, honestly this isn't one of them. If it was a VQ37VHR sedan that's a different story, they actually sound decent, HR equipped G35 is "acceptable" in that it doesn't sound like complete **** but a DE equipped sedan or coupe (or 350Z...) sounds really bad with just a muffler delete.

Couple that with the incredibly underwhelming performance gained by a muffler delete which is like 2 whp it's just not worth it. The biggest point of restriction is the catalytic converter, save your money for a used HFC (try to stick with Fast Intentions HFC) or a system that sounds good with test pipes, and exhaust cat-back system and do it right, you'll pick up about 15whp and be happy with the results.

Swap out the huge resonator for a Dynomax or Magnaflow resonator. That'll add some sound without being obnoxious. No real gains but like already pointed out, the cats are the biggest restriction in the exhaust system.

Do you know what part number or size for the Dynomax and/or Magnaflow resonator? 06 G35 sedan.

Nothing is going to be an exact fit, that resonator (at least on the sedan) is pretty big. Not sure what the factory pipe diameter is, 2.5" maybe? So probably an 18" resonator with a 2.5 inside diameter. A good shop can either cut the pipe to fit or add some if needed.
