Buying a Used Motordyne Shockwave TDX2 Help
So, I found a good deal on a used Motordyne Shockwave TDX2 and I am concerned about buying a used exhaust system. I’m not sure what to look for besides leaks and holes. Is there anything I should be concerned about? The original owner says that he’s had the shockwave on for 7 months.

Should be worried about future tickets. You are gonna love it if you have a manual trans. If you have an Auto it's gonna drive you insane with all it's drone.
Make sure it has al the V bands. Those are expensive to buy new. The only gaskets you need to buy are the cat To Y Pipe ones. Any auto store should have them.
It's a really simple system and the best one built for our cars.

Thanks for the tips, I just put the shockwave on yesterday. Couldn’t stand waiting until next week and possibly lose this awesome deal, and even with my stock cats its amazing.
Everyone that heard it yesterday says its one of the best exhaust notes they ever heard. I drove three hours back constantly downshifting and doing little pulls just to hear it. In neutral, just a quick rev to 2k will give you some crackles with little pops.
Like everyone says, its quiet when you want and loud only when you want. No drone and no rasp! Plus, I can definitely feel the power gain too. I give the shockwave 10/10.
Current Mods:
2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT
Injen CAI
Motordyne 5/16 Copper Iso Spacer
Motordyne MREV2
Motordyne Shcokwave TDX2
BC Racing Coilovers
19x9.5 front and 19x11 rear wheels

I would say yes, the tone before was like a quite soft purr VQ exhaust note on stock exhaust. Now with the shockwave its a more aggressive roar VQ exhaust note. If you go full throttle it will be loud but not that annoying loud where everyone will want to cover their ears. And its not so loud that you can hear it from a far away, for me its perfect. When I first installed it and turned on my car, I didn't even notice a difference on start up then I gave it some gas and it was like magic. Its like you can hear the exhaust air flowing through the catback so smoothly.
I have no rasp or drone at all and I get complements from everyone that hears it. I daily my G35 and can drive normally and not be loud at all but when I want to have fun it sounds awesome. I also have an Injen CAI and that makes a nice whistle sound every time I press on the throttle so that whistle plus the shockwave is amazing.
Next up is ART pipes and a tune for me and I have heard it makes the shockwave even better
I highly recommend the shockwave. I was lucky enough to hear it in person before I got mine, which is what made me want it so bad. I have a video of my first donut attempts with the shockwave if you want to hear it, send me a dm. But in person it sounds much better.
