They have to disconnect the engine from the motor mounts and pull the engine to get at the headers. A labor intensive job

wow... I thought disconencting the engine is just for when you want to install for a set of header. I thought that installing cats would be very simple.

Ouch! I didn't realize the engine had to be pulled to install the headers. This probably narrows it down for me. Not quite prepped to spend the $1200 + major labor.

IT's my understanding that it's the Crawford headers that require pulling/lifting the engine for install. Seems that the Nismo headers don't require so much work for the install. I believe there are other headers that don't require lifting the engine either.

The only price for Crawford cats that I know about is $500. I just got mine installed today and they sound sooooo sweet with the Fuji Exhaust.

Where did you get your Crawford cats installed at in Vegas? Did they do a good job? I too live in Vegas and I'm planning to do the install my self. Just curious to know, because if I get lazy, I need a good shop to install them for me.

If you don't mind and if you have some free time, lets meet up and check out each others Modifications. I would love to hear the Crawford cats before I hook it up to my HKS.

this actually just came up in another thread. i can't remember if it's here or at my350z.com, if you can't find it, let me know, i just read like about 4 guys sharing their texas sniffer experiences. the jist i got was, in some of the bigger cities, they sniff the tail pipe, and some of the smaller cities don't. it can (does) differ from county to county.
