26X10.5X16 ET STREETs with 3.90 gears will be ok in first launching at 5500 rpms

With that gear, those small tires, and the close ratio 6 speed in these cars, you are going to have to shift really quick. Thing will launch though. Im only 20 min from Sears Point, when do the Wed Night Drags run from/till this year?
