HKS Hi-Power Ti or Fujitsubo Legalis-R w/Y-pipe?
I'm torn between these two for my coupe! I know some of you would say it's no contest...HKS!! But there's not much forum research on HKS as there is Fujitsubo. I want something a little louder than stock, something deeper and more aggressive, but not ricey. I've heard the Fuji in person and it sounds awesome, but I think I want something a tad louder when idle. If HKS turns out too rice for me, then Fujitsubo it is. Does anybody have any experience or opinions to share about these exhaust?
Thanks everybody.

My suggestion, go to a local Z or G meet and listen for yourself. Sound clips are not quite accurate. I've heard both. Both are definitely great exhaust, and does not sound like a fart can. HKS is probably just a tad louder at idle. Both sound aggresive and deep when you take-off. Both great choices.

i see its an old post.....but here is my $.02
I have an 05 coupe 6mt with HKS hi-power. Sounds very very good. its about 4x louder than stock and it keeps the "g35 tone" not ricey at all. I am very satisfied with it and looks baller with my 19x10.5 rear Volk wheels
I just installed Labree test pipes with resonators and its about 6x louder than stock and still keeps the very deep "g35 tone"
I have installed a few Fujitsubo Legalis-R with front Y-pipe on customer cars and they sound very good if you want a stock sounding exhaust. It sounds just like stock but maybe 1x louder. Its very quiet compared to HKS.
Both make good power just comes down to looks and sound preference.
Hope this helps a little.

Yeah, this is an old thread. However, for what it's worth . . .
I had been looking to deepen the sound of my G since day one. After a mini meet, if you will, of some local G owners, I heard the HKS Hi Power exhaust. The exhaust is louder, but not outrageously loud. The best part about the exhaust note is that it is alot deeper in tone, which was what I was looking for.

Thanks guys! I made the decision to go for the HKS. I ordered it back in June and I still haven't received it. So I always think about cancelling and going with Fuji, but replies like yours always gives me hope and patience to wait for the HKS.
Can anybody else chime in with their thoughts about the HKS exhaust? I've been waiting for about 14 weeks now, and I need a sign of hope that it's worth the wait!!
