Y pipe on stock exhaust system

If I put a Y pipe on a stock exhaust system will I get any benifit from it? Will the sound of the exhaust system sound any diferent? Is it worth the money?

Y-pipe only will not gain a lot.. IMO 5 HP at the most..
I have a stock exhaust and I have installed Gruppe-s Y-pipe.. The sound is a bit louder and deeper.. but I also have crawford cats too...
